God has called wonderful men and women to serve His flock. We would like to introduce you to some of them and their ministries.
Pastor Manuel and Maryland Lopez
Pastor Manuel Lopez Jr. I
Pastor Manuel "Manny" Lopez and his wife Sis. Maryland have been leading the church since 2008. They experienced the Acts 2:38 gospel around 1989 at New Life United Pentecostal Church in Honolulu. A few years later, New Life UPC began a daughter church in Waipahu—Waipahu United Pentecostal Church (renamed First Church Hawaii Waipahu as of 3/4/21); and the Lopez family answered the call to support it.
In 2006, God began calling Bro. Manuel to serve as the next pastor; but he initially resisted. Later in 2007, he was diagnosed with life-threatening liposarcoma cancer; but during this ordeal, God told him to preach the Word with no compromise. After waking up miraculously from a coma and about 1½ months of recovery, he began preaching. Since then, he's been earnestly following the vision God gave him for the Waipahu area.

In his spare time, he enjoys bowling, billiards, basketball, and shooting at the gun range.

Rhoda Bondoc — Follow Up Ministry
When you visit us for the first time, Sis. Rhoda, in our follow up ministry, will want to meet you. She can answer any of your questions, get you connected with various church ministries, and inform you of upcoming events.
“Follow Up Ministry serves to help new visitors establish a foundation in the faith of Jesus Christ and help them in their needs.”
Sis. Rhoda was born and raised in a Pentecostal family and is a full-time homemaker.

Sunday School Ministry
If you’ve got kids ages 4–12, we’d like to welcome them to our Sunday School! Sunday school teachers bring Jesus and the Bible to their students and engage them in fun activities and lessons that bring the scriptures to life.
Hyphen
Hyphen is a ministry geared towards young single adults 18–35 for equipping them in their personal walk with God, enhancing their ministries, and hosting fun events with other Hypheners from local churches.

Women’s Ministry
During special events through the year, the ladies meet up for a blessed time of fun, fellowship, and sharing to walk closer with Jesus Christ and reflect Him in their homes and workplaces. If you’d like more info, please see Sis. Olga Smith, the Women's Ministry coordinator.
Men’s Ministry
